There is nothing more calming in difficult moments than knowing someone is fighting with you.

Approach
I approach counseling as a partnership, working together with my client(s). As a team, we work toward the goal of improving their understanding of and ability to respond positively to the challenges facing them. I provide a safe and respectful atmosphere where we develop practical strategies for solving the problems that make life difficult. I strongly believe that everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have at any given time. I use each client’s strengths and tools as a foundation for us to build on, creating positive changes in my client’s lives.
Experience
I have spent the last 15 years supporting trauma survivors both domestically and internationally. I have extensive experience working with individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, as well as more day-to-day challenges such as work transitions, life transitions, parenting issues, feelings of overwhelm or just feeling down.
I graduated from George Fox University with Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Business Management and hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health also from George Fox.
I am a Professional Counselor Associate (Therapist).
The Nitty Gritty
I take OHP (Oregon Health Plan) and Cash Pay. I am not paneled with any insurance company at this time. My hourly rate is $125 per session. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments, if you feel this is an option you would like to pursue, please contact me and we can discuss further.
Methods
I seek to meet each client where they are at and do not subscribe to a one size fits all philosophy in counseling. I use methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which has been backed by research to be effective in treating PTDS, depression, and anxiety. I also use methods such as DBT, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. These are the core methods that I use, however, I bring in other modalities as is helpful for my clients.
A Little About Me
I am a native Oregonian. I love good food, whether that’s a great restaurant or a great recipe, spending time with family, hiking with my two rascally dogs, or hanging out with friends.
